Arya News - Cyclosporiasis, a parasitic infection that causes diarrhea and other intestinal issues, has broken out across the U.S. including in Georgia.
Some Americans are having a bad start to the summer after contracting a parasitic infection that causes " explosive" diarrhea .
Cyclosporiasis, caused by a microscopic parasite called Cyclospora, has been reported in 17 states since May, reaching nearly 150 cases and leading to 20 hospitalizations, according to Atlanta"s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
All people infected with the parasite became sick after eating food, though no single source has been identified by health professionals.
