Packers RB Josh Jacobs to be removed from NFL`s commissioner exempt list, will be eligible to play Week 7
Arya News - Jacobs was arrested for domestic abuse last May and was placed on the list ahead of the season. The league says the investigation into Jacobs` conduct is still ongoing.

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is being removed from the commissioner exempt list, the NFL announced Friday.
Jacobs had been placed on the list on Aug. 30 after a domestic abuse arrest last May. In Friday"s statement, the league said that the investigation into Jacobs" arrest "remains ongoing and is not affected" by Jacobs being removed from the list.
Jacobs will be officially taken off the list on Monday. He will be eligible to make his season debut in Week 7, as the Packers take on the Detroit Lions on Oct. 25.
Jacobs was arrested in northern Wisconsin on May 26 and charged with multiple counts of domestic abuse. The charges stemmed from an incident three days prior, when Jacobs allegedly grabbed a woman trying to leave his garage and threw her to the ground.
Jacobs was formally charged with two of those counts, battery and criminal damage to property, the week before he was placed on the commissioner exempt list. He pled no contest to both charges last month.
Jacobs is now trying to prevent evidence, including footage of the incident, from being released publicly: The running back filed a civil suit earlier this week , calling for an injunction and protective order that would restrict access to records in his case. The Brown County district attorney has reportedly said that surveillance footage outside Jacobs" garage corroborates the victim"s account of the incident.
In a statement, Jacobs" attorneys Clarence F. Duchac III, David Z. Chesnoff and Richard A. Schonfeld said that he was "excited to get back to work" after being removed from the list.
"Josh has dedicated the last several months to bettering himself, and he accepts responsibility for his actions," the statement said, via The Ringer"s Tom Pelissero . "Josh is grateful for the support he is receiving from his teammates, coaches, the Packers organization, and the greatest fans in the world. Since there are ongoing legal matters, he will not have any further comment."
