Arya News - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at the Kremlin on Monday.
This was not the first time the Russian leader has hosted Jaishankar at the Kremlin. The previous meeting took place in November 2025. In addition, the Indian foreign minister participated in events related to Putin’s state visit to India in December last year.Jaishankar arrived in Russia for an official visit. He has already held talks with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and is scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Indian media that Putin would “in any case personally participate” in the BRICS summit, which will be held in New Delhi on September 12–13.Speaking to journalists, Peskov noted that India is a special and privileged partner of Russia. He added that the agenda for bilateral contacts is “more than extensive.”
