San Francisco 49ers owner John "Jed" York was arrested in Ohio over the weekend on suspicion of engaging in prostitution , per KRON4 News in San Francisco.
Ohio amended the prostitution charge to a disorderly conduct charge. York was also charged with possessing criminal tools. York pleaded no contest to both charges Monday. A person who pleads no contest does not admit guilt, but does accept the punishment for the alleged crimes as if they had been proven guilty.
In York"s case, he was sentenced to one day in jail for each count. York was also ordered to pay two fines — $150 for disorderly conduct and $1,000 for possessing criminal tools — per KRON4.
York, 46, took over as the team"s CEO in 2008. He married his wife, Danielle, in 2011. The couple has two kids.
