
Arya News - WASHINGTON, (Sputnik) - A US Air Force strategic reconnaissance aircraft disappeared from radar on Tuesday while patrolling the Barents Sea north of Russia`s Murmansk, according to flight data reviewed by Sputnik.
The Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint took off from RAF Mildenhall in southeastern UK at approximately 8:43 GMT and headed north. After circling over Norway, it reached the Barents Sea around 12:00 GMT. The aircraft disappeared from radar at 12:21 GMT. This is believed to have occurred because the plane disabled its geolocation trackers. The plane"s destination is not listed in flight-tracking services.
