Arya News - Kraft was on pace for career numbers last season before tearing his ACL in Week 9.
The Green Bay Packers and tight end Tucker Kraft have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $75 million contract extension, according to NFL Network"s Ian Rapoport .
Kraft"s new deal, which runs through the 2030 season, includes a $26.5 million signing bonus and its maximum value could reach as high as $92 million.
Both sides have wanted to get a deal done, it was just a matter of whether an agreement could be reached before Week 1 or linger into the season.
The $18.75 million annual salary is behind George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers ($19.1M) and Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals ($19M) and ahead of Kyle Pitts of the Atlanta Falcons ($18M), and Michael Mayer of the Las Vegas Raiders ($15M), per Spotrac .
Kraft, 25, had a breakout year in 2024 when he caught 50 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He was on pace for career numbers last season, but suffered a torn ACL in Week 9. Through eight games, he had 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Rob Gronkowski and Mark Andrews are the only other tight ends, along with Kraft, since 2000 to finish their first three NFL seasons with at least 100 receptions, 1,500 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns.
Kraft is entering his fourth NFL season after being selected 78th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State. He is fully recovered from his ACL injury and good to go as the Packers begin the season against the Minnesota Vikings .
