Arya News - Caleb Williams was clearly in a lot of pain after sliding down awkwardly on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field.
The Chicago Bears lost star quarterback Caleb Williams to a non-contact leg injury on Sunday afternoon during a rainy contest at Soldier Field.
Williams was scrambling for the end zone midway through the fourth quarter of their matchup with the Minnesota Vikings when he suddenly tripped and slid down to the turf awkwardly. He didn"t appear to touch anyone while going down, and was clearly in a lot of pain.
Williams remained down on the field for several moments, rolling around a bit and unable to get up on his own. Eventually, he was helped up and off the field by two members of the Bears" staff — but Williams could barely put any weight on his leg as he did so.
Specifics of Williams" injury are not yet known. A cart came to take Williams from the sideline back to the locker room, too.
Tyson Bagent came in to replace Williams, but their drive stalled after that. The Vikings blocked a field goal attempt, too, and kept their 6-3 lead.
