Arya News - J.J. McCarthy will face a tough Texans defense in his first start with the Giants.
The New York Giants like what they"ve seen from quarterback J.J. McCarthy over the past month. Despite trading for the former first-round pick less than a month ago, the Giants will reportedly start McCarthy against the Houston Texans in Week 7, per ESPN.
The move comes after McCarthy came on in relief of Jameis Winston in Week 6.
McCarthy was solid in that appearance, nearly leading the Giants back against the New Orleans Saints in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with 243 passing yards, with a touchdown and an interception.
