According to Arya News Agency, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister, reacting to the British Prime Minister's remarks about Iran's possible role in the Fairford airbase incident, wrote on social media:
"The British Prime Minister says his government can confirm that it believes Iran played a role in the Fairford airbase incident. I too can confirm Iran's belief; the very fact that you released individuals whom you call terrorists and who were in the service of foreign governments speaks for itself.
You are looking for the culprit in the wrong place."
