Arya News - The latest WILD diseases report showed that the new cases brought the city’s total number of ILI cases to 1,203 since the start of the year. WILD stands for illnesses that commonly surge during the rainy season: water-borne diseases, influenza, leptospirosis, and dengue.
MANILA – Manila City Hall recorded 33 new cases of influenza-like illness (ILI) on Monday, Aug. 31, its Public Information Office (PIO) said.
The latest WILD diseases report showed that the new cases brought the city’s total number of ILI cases to 1,203 since the start of the year.
WILD stands for illnesses that commonly surge during the rainy season: water-borne diseases, influenza, leptospirosis, and dengue.
On Aug. 31, the city also recorded 24 new dengue cases, bringing the total to 2,541, and four new cases of leptospirosis, bringing the total to 556.
No new cases were reported for the other diseases, like cholera, typhoid fever, COVID-19, and severe acute respiratory infection.
The Manila PIO urged residents to practice proper hygiene and seek medical attention promptly if they experience any symptoms.
