It has been a big few weeks for people named Taylor Swift.
On Wednesday, Taylor Swift, the international pop star, announced that along with a new single being released this week, she is also coming out with a four-song EP . That news comes after Taylor Swift, the soccer player, scored in his debut with his new club.
That"s right, Widnes Town FC , a club in England"s 10th tier, filled the "blank space" they had at forward and announced the signing of Taylor Swift.
Widnes Town was hoping to shake off a winless start to the season after going 0-4-1 in August and getting knocked out of the First Division Challenge Cup on penalties. While Swift"s signing was announced this week, he had already seen action in a Sept. 8 match, playing all 90 minutes and helping the club end a "cruel summer" by scoring a goal during a 2-2 draw with New Mills.
The goal was scored, of course, in minute "22" of the match , making for a happy, free and perfect night.
Widnes Town, currently in last place in the North West Counties Division One South through seven games, takes the pitch again on Sept. 26 in the Macron Challenge Cup against FC Isle of Man. They know "all too well" that should the winless stretch continue, new chairman Ryan Bamford will have to tell the "down bad" side, "look what you made me do" and make changes in order for the club to reach its "wildest dreams."
