Iranian Parliament Commission Hails Nation’s 200-Day Steadfastness, Urges Officials to Prioritize Unity and Livelihood Issues
Arya News Agency -TEHRAN – The Domestic Affairs and Councils Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament) has issued a formal statement commending the Iranian people for their 200 days of steadfastness, awareness, and active presence in the face of recent challenges. The commission emphasized that, in line with the directives of the Supreme Leader, preserving national unity, fostering hope, and actively resolving the public's legitimate livelihood and economic demands are the paramount duties of all government officials.
The statement praised the magnificent presence of various societal strata—including youth, students, martyrs' families, workers, and academics—describing it as an unparalleled display of national unity and religious zeal. It framed this public mobilization as a clear, resounding message to adversaries that the Iranian nation remains united and unyielding in defending its revolution, territorial integrity, and core values.
Furthermore, the commission extended special gratitude to the armed forces, including the Army, IRGC, Police, and Basij, for their courageous, calculated, and deterrent responses to what it termed "US-Zionist aggression and overreach." The statement noted that this capable defense not only bolstered national morale but also demonstrated to the world that the Islamic Republic will not hesitate to defend its soil and people.
Concluding the message, the commission called on all officials to honor the public through sincere service, accountability, and a justice-oriented approach. It stressed that defeating the enemy’s cognitive and economic warfare requires officials to be genuinely present among the people and to work tirelessly to eliminate economic hardships, ensuring Iran crosses all challenges with dignity and emerges with a brighter, more secure future.
