BANGKOK – Lalisa “Lisa” Manobal walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 11, 2026, for the world premiere of Always Lalisa, her first solo documentary.
Always Lalisa is scheduled to open in Thai cinemas on October 12, 2026. The documentary follows the Thai BLACKPINK member’s path from childhood ambitions to her work as a solo artist and actor.

Always Lalisa traces Lisa’s early ambition to become a well-known performer and her decision to move to South Korea at the age of 14 to train with YG Entertainment.

Sue Kim follows Lisa beyond music
Sue Kim directed Always Lalisa, following a year in Lisa’s life as she developed her solo career and explored acting, according to Sony Music’s announcement.
Kim previously served as an executive producer of K-Pop Idols, the documentary series released on Apple TV+ in 2024.
Lisa’s appearances at Coachella and her acting role in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus feature in Always Lalisa, reflecting her interest in work beyond music.
Always Lalisa combines interviews and performance footage with previously unseen footage from behind the scenes, documenting Lisa’s efforts to develop her range as an artist.
