Iranian Lawmaker Warns U.S. Would Face Harsher Response Than in Ramadan War, Urges Nuclear Deterrent Authorization
Arya News Agency -The head of the Iranian Parliament's Internal Affairs Commission said that in the event of another U.S. attack on Iran, America would face a response harsher and more crushing than what was seen in the "Ramadan War."

Mohammad Saleh Jokar, head of the Councils and Internal Affairs Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said: "In the event of another U.S. attack on Iranian soil, America will face a response harsher and more crushing than what was witnessed in the Ramadan War."

The representative of the people of Yazd in the Islamic Consultative Assembly added: "In the Ramadan War, America brought all its military power to the field, but made no progress and could not achieve its objectives through this military attack."

The head of the Councils and Internal Affairs Commission stated: "Countries that place their territory and airspace at America's disposal for an attack on Iran should know that they will face a harsh response from the Islamic Republic of Iran and will pay a heavy price for doing so."

Jokar noted: "I call on the establishment of the Islamic Republic to authorize, in defense of the country and with the aim of deterrence, the use of deterrent weapons, including nuclear weapons, in the event of a U.S. attack on Iran."

He added: "Also, in defense of the country, in the event of a U.S. attack on Iran, Iran's cooperation with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty should be suspended."
