            Chinese jailbreak attempt foiled at Phnom Penh prison
            Arya News - According to a video recorded by prison officials, the inmates used a ladder and rope in their attempt, but were apprehended on the prison grounds.

            PHNOM PENH – Five Chinese inmates attempted to bust out of Phnom Penh Police Prison this morning, August 17, around 3am. They were reportedly captured almost immediately by prison staff.
            Chhon Sanath, director general of the General Department of Prisons, is inspecting management procedures at the Police Judiciare prison,commonly known as PJ.
            Sanath is reportedly focused on the management of the prison’s physical infrastructure and detention cells, to ensure the facility remains secure and safe for inmates and staff.
            He instructed all prison officers to continue to pay close attention to their roles and responsibilities, maintain security and safety at the prison, and be constantly prepared for all eventualities, including attempted escapes.
            According to a video recorded by prison officials, the inmates used a ladder and rope in their attempt, but were apprehended on the prison grounds.
            It was not confirmed what charges the inmates were facing.
