The Filipino star is making her second appearance in the main draw of the US Open, which is the final Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Eala is coming off a third-round stint in Cincinnati, where she lost to American World No. 10 Amanda Anisimova, 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, last Tuesday.
Coco Gauff rolled past Jessica Pegula, 6-2, 6-4, to win her second crown in Cincinnati.
Before Cincinnati, Eala reached the round of 16 at the Canadian Open after claiming her first WTA 500 title at the DC Open.
Slumping Aryna Sabalenka remained the top WTA player, with World No. 2 Elena Rybakina creeping closer.
The 21-year-old Eala is also part of the US Open mixed doubles field with Canadian World No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime.
