China’s homegrown C919 high-altitude jet completes test flight
Arya News - The C919, developed by Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, is China`s first domestically developed narrow-body passenger jet to enter commercial service.

BEIJING – China’s C919 passenger jet’s high-altitude variant completed its first flight test on Wednesday, marking an important step in the development of the C919 aircraft family.
The first variant conducted its flight test at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and completed all scheduled test-flight tasks.
The high-altitude variant is based on the standard C919, but incorporates targeted design changes — including a shortened fuselage and improvements to system functions — to meet requirements for high-altitude operations, according to a China Central Television report.
Under China’s civil aviation regulations, airports at elevations of 2,438 meters or above are classified as high-altitude airports.
The C919 high-altitude variant is one of the key models in the development of the C919 family. It is designed to seat 140 to 160 passengers, with take-off and landing performance meeting requirements for all of China’s high-altitude airports.
The C919, developed by Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, is China’s first domestically developed narrow-body passenger jet to enter commercial service.
