            Myanmar President begins official visit to Russia at counterpart Putin’s invitation
            Arya News - The two sides are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Russia and expand strategic cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, including the economy, security and social affairs.

            NAYPIDAW – President U Min Aung Hlaing departed for Russia on the morning of August 17 to begin an official visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
            The Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was seen off at the airport by Vice Presidents U Nyo Saw and Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials from the Russian Embassy and Defence Attaché Office in Myanmar.
            During the visit, the President is scheduled to hold talks with President Putin, the Russian Prime Minister and the Chairman of the State Duma, as well as meet other senior Russian government officials.
            The two sides are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Russia and expand strategic cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, including the economy, security and social affairs.
            President U Min Aung Hlaing will also attend the Myanmar-Russia Economic Forum during the visit.
            Union ministers and senior officials are accompanying the President on the trip.
