Arya News - Jaxson Dart went down holding his knee on the Giants` first possession.
The New York Giants got off to a great start this season, then less than one drive into their second game they had a major concern with their quarterback.
On a third-down pass during the Giants " first possession against the Los Angeles Rams , quarterback Jaxson Dart was under pressure and jumped to pass downfield. He was hit hard as he was sandwiched between multiple players and injured his left knee.
Dart grabbed his knee in pain. Giants head coach John Harbaugh came out to check on him as ESPN went to commercial. Dart got up and limped off the field without assistance.
Jameis Winston took over at quarterback for the Giants after Dart exited. Dart walked to the locker room as that series began.
The Giants listed Dart as questionable to return and he was later carted to get X-rays.
Dart was a first-round pick last year and had a promising rookie season. His aggressiveness and running style led to some injury concerns, including being evaluated for concussions five times as a rookie.
